Drug prevention

Human Health Institute - Institute for Human Health n.o (non-profit organization) focuses on projects aimed at protecting public health to increase public awareness and understanding of risks associated with drug abuse in society and damages connected with this innovative method of marketing, using social communication media present in Slovakia. Health is an important factor in economic and social development and its achievement is the focus of individuals, families, and communities. Our goal is to improve the health status of the Slovak population.

Another aim of the projects focused onthe prevention against drugs is to increase the awareness of children, youth and the public. Furthermore, to point out the negative impact of substance abuse on health, to achieve more active participation of society to fight against drugs, to strengthen the public health and to improve the civic awareness in health aspects, while promoting healthy lifestyle of the whole community.

The focus of the projects Human Health Institute - Institute for Human Health n.o is on:

1. Supporting the activities aimed at preventing drug use and the risks involved.
2. Supporting innovative approaches to work with children and youth, using mass education and information technology.
3. Promoting awareness of experts and the general public about drug policy.
4. Dissemination of drug education in particular thruthe mass media - communication medium.
