The prevention of mental illnesses

Mental health is one of the basic pillars of a fulfilling and a satisfying life of a person.

In today's stressful, fast-paced dynamic world we encounter the increasing occurrence of mental illness. Many people are scrambling up to maintain the best possible material security for themselves and their families. But often, it goes on the cost of their own health, which they only realize after they got stopped by an illness, injury or other significant change in own or family’s life. Also at work it is mostly not our own choice, the workload is steadily increasing, functions accumulate, and the time spent at work will be prolonged, so the contact with the family, hobbies get vanished. It is like jumping into an express train from which to exit is very difficult. One does not even have the time to ask the question if this kind of life he or she wants to have. And if the question was asked, they just do not know how to get help with all that increasing stress. Every organism has a certain level of stress resistance, which everyone handles differently, but to live under constant pressure, by persistent influence of adrenaline, by fast and shallow breathing and further uncomfortable chemical processes they are happening in our bodies, logically once will have to stop. Our goal is to secure that people do not reach this state of escalation, but that they will be able to stop and think about possible live changes, to learn to relax and to fight stress situation life brings. At the same time we teach how to listen to your own body.

According to the WHO, mental health is defined as: "a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her abilities, can cope with the typical stress situations life brings, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to its community."The statistical measurements made in Slovakia showed an annual presence ofmental disease by approximately 250,000 people, which means that about one million people have a direct experience with this disease. The role of the Human Health Institute is to inform about a potential presence of the disease, about its signs, that the mental conditions should not be underestimated, and the stated disease is a disease which can be healed, and it affects many people. It is a disease that can occur in anyone’s life, without exception.
