Prevention II Children's Health Festival

International cooperation with the Austrian Life Family Work elementary school has been very successful, so it was only a matter of time when we will see them again in Komarno.

The children came this day to see the Autumn Health Day and the Prevention II Children's Health Festival, which was organized in cooperation with Rozmarinova elementary school in Komarno at Klapka’s Square. We had the chance to see different creations and performances of children on the theme of Leonardo da Vinci. The great renaissance artist himself, by the autopsy, studied the human body and knew what was the best for health.

The children were inspired by his works, so we could also enjoy, for example, the great Vitruvian man, the most famous illustration of Leonardo, composed of different kinds of vegetables, or the portrait of da Vinci himself. HHI has been supporting Rozmarinova's Autumn Health Day for the second consecutive year and we were very excited to share knowledge about waste separation or oral hygiene.

Waste overwhelms our planet, so it is necessary to do something against it in order not to drown in the sea of rubbish. Information and education are important and it is important to learn how not to produce waste at all. To our joy, we have found that every class on Rozmarinova school is equipped with color bins for waste separation so children learn to sort waste from the very early days. Dental care is also a health issue that we have been spreading through the presentation of oral hygiene under the guidance of dental expert Maria Barossova, who literally suggested to come to children’s home to clean their teeth properly together.

The children performed health-related tasks and enjoyed the new knowledge they had learned on this day. It is no wonder, therefore, that our foreign guests liked the program and creations of our children, so we can already prepare for their next visit.
